Within the first few weeks of operation, the WEARwatcher builds up a comprehensive database on which it continuously recalculates the current probability of failure. These mathematical operations take place within the device itself, and the result is visualized as the probability of failure in the cloud dashboard.

Guides
Continuous vibration and jerk analysis, as well as frequency monitoring, detects specific aspects of the guide rail condition and reports any faults. This includes insufficient lubrication, inadequately machined rail joints, catch marks, etc. The position of these faults is recorded and reported with millimeter precision.

Vibrations
The WEARwatcher vibration sensors are mounted on the elevator car. WEARwatcher satellites can also be used to monitor other parts of the system (such as the machine frame) with vibration sensors. The analyses specifically search for problems and signs of wear affecting the drive, guides, and doors (differentiated between shaft and car doors) and report these via the cloud.

Hoistway doors
Every door movement is evaluated using comprehensive vibration and frequency analyses. This provides a picture of the door's condition and, above all, of any wear and/or contamination on the guides and rollers. By assigning the doors to specific floors and conducting subsequent trend analyses, the WEARwatcher can pinpoint whether problems are occurring at particular cabin or shaft doors and report these specifically to the cloud.

Emergency stop analysis
Emergency stops (regardless of whether they are initiated by the safety device or the machine brakes) are automatically detected by the WEARwatcher and reported to the cloud. Information about the cabin's position in the shaft and the current load is also reported. For forensic purposes, this data, along with maximum deceleration and forces, is also available in the cloud. Advanced analysis options are available via separate Windows PC software.
